Top
honours for local camp
New
worksafe procedures were introduced in at Allambee Camp, to
ensure the safety of the participants. Allambee Camp were the
amongst the first school camps to be worksafe compliant with
their flying fox procedures.
Exciting
New Activities!
Just
in time for Christmas 2005, There was two new exciting hi-ropes/climbing
activities installed by Vertical Innovations International at
Allambee Camp.
The
Dangle Duo and the Vertical Playpen are suspended between trees
quite near the abseil tree, and go 8 – 10 metres up! Two participants
at a time can climb each element.
Also
installed is a new belay bank, which means even participants
at primary school level can belay for each other safely. There
are three participants working on each of the belay ropes while
a fourth participant is climbing.
Groups
who have participated so far have given only positive feed back,
saying that it’s challenging, exciting and very rewarding at
